Books and granny squares
What’s not to like?
Each year I track the books I read on an app and in my journal. Well, I am a librarian. This year I decided to combine books and crochet and for each book I’ve read I’ve also crocheted a granny square based on the book cover.
There are rules... all in my head but still...
- Only the colours on the cover count
- Squares can only be crocheted after the last page is read, no preemptive hooking here
- 4 round granny squares only. If there are more colours, tough, choose your favourites
- Size 4 hook, Dk yarn
So I wanted to share them. No idea what these little beauties will end up being made into, for now it’s enough to make granny squares.
Book granny square #1 One good turn by Kate Atkinson
Great way to start off the reading year. A Jackson Brodie crime novel. Great writing, intriguing characters, page turning plot. And my first square done!
